Week 12…Power, Courage & Faith

“The only way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward. Eternal vigilance is the price of success.”

As I read these lines this week I reflected on how often we joke in society about taking one step forward and two steps back. Yet, we do, we all do unless we exercise ‘eternal vigilance’. These three steps spoke to me so loudly that they shouted.

First: Have the knowledge of your power.

Second: The courage to dare.

Third: The faith to do.

That’s it?! That’s all there is to this? What? Why aren’t more doing this? Don’t we all have the knowledge, the courage and a bit of faith? Well,  I know we may waiver here and there we all do.  But wait, “your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing…” Therein lies the proverbial catch. We have to be focused and unwavering. So back to my week 10, 11 and 12, ……..that wavering of focus can cause my ‘forces to be scattered’ and I attest that indeed it did. I went back to my old Blueprint and it welcomed me with open arms. It was like a comfy couch that you know so well even if it has springs poking through here and there and is torn on the edges with a few stains. You don’t like it necessarily but it works and will do.

I don’t want the comfy familiar couch anymore! I want to exercise persistence, I want to win.

Tammy, I so relate your blog post this week. Those exact words shouted at me to. I even wrote them on an index card to include in my set of flash cards. Awesome work. Let’s both stay off the couch!
