MKMMA Week 4 …the week that never ends

I loved the launch of this new week on Sunday. I feel like I am getting more settled in to a groove with my reading. I struggle making time for the sit which is just a lack of planning on my part. I can’t seem to sit in the early morning hours as my little ones have a radar for ‘mom is up and ready for the day’. I laugh as I write that I sit in my closet on the floor behind the door every morning to get my reading done. It took a few mornings but they found my spot, however the closet is carpeted so they come in and lay down while I read. Evenings haven’t worked as well for the sit due to my falling asleep if I save it for the end of the day. Midday in between preschool pickup and homeschooling is the only window it seems but it’s a tight squeeze.

Sigh, all the mothers out there getting this done, how are you doing it? Adding even one more thing into my world is crazy but with all the readings, postings, readings, sits, readings, etc I am struggling in my normal day to day. For example my 4 year old needed to have 5 apples (3 red, 2 green and one yellow) as well as $3 for the school pumpkin patch. I bought 3 pumpkins and sent in $5 for apples! That’s only the start of it. Having a single item of laundry that HAD to be washed and ready for the morning…I sorted all the darks, whites, colors and delicates. I started the necessary load of laundry and even stayed up to swap it to the dryer and fold only to discover the most important item never made it into the wash! (I had set it carefully to side so as to not forget it) I have made 3 trips to the grocers/market in 5 days and bought the same items on each trip so we have triplicates of items.

I have my DMP done though and my chore/service card so that counts right?!

Hi dear Tammy!!! I have no children to interfere my life, but I considered that all of my businesses are my babies… I have a challenge with reading and writing and they took lots of my time… While I was reading yours, I recalled about my reading Scroll I states that “Thus a new and good habit is born, for when an act becomes easy through constant repetition it becomes a pleasure to perform and if it is a pleasure to perform it is man’s nature to perform it often.”

Mandino, Og (2011-01-05). The Greatest Salesman in the World (p. 56). Random House Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.

And I felt inspired and empowered that my reading and writing are going to be better and better if I set a priority to do it everyday like I am reading the Scroll. Thanks so much Tammy 🙂 Big Hugs!!!

WOW! Am feeling where you are. I’ve been there! So yes…understand. One way to make time could be to involve the kids in your exercises…where they can assist . Understanding what mommy is working towards, being apart of it, may assist you with juggling all that you do so well! I have faith you have what it takes within you to make this work for you and your family! !
